About the Foundation Sto Pociech
The "Sto Pociech" [A Hundred Kids] Foundation was registered on 20 April 2007. Its creation is a result of two years' experience connected with the running of the "Sto Pociech" kids and parents' club which has been operating since 2005. The Foundation has taken over and expanded the activities carried out hitherto by the club.
The Foundation carries out:
-
innovative activities in the field of family aid in the following aspects:
- supporting development of the family understood as a place of creative growing up of both children and parents,
- strengthening the parents to assume attitudes of responsible parenthood, in particular - supporting men in assuming the role of a present and involved father,
- counteracting isolation of parents of very young children, single mothers and families affected by disabilities,
- supporting people going through emotional crises.
-
novel educational programmes for children aged 0-6 and their parents, focused on acquiring knowledge through experiencing, observing and creative response to the surrounding reality,
-
activities aimed at propagating the idea of voluntary service, mutual help and community support.
The Foundation is implementing the above-mentioned goals by conducting educational, cultural, charity and pedagogical activities as well as actions connected with the promotion of health and social aid.
